About Us
Binesi Training Centre was created to strengthen local participation and capacity in the technology sector. As telecommunications continuously expands and evolves, Binesi is dedicated to equipping professionals for fulfilling careers in the information and communications technology (ICT) industry in Winnipeg, rural communities, and Indigenous communities across Manitoba.
We are dedicated to helping people not only receive the training necessary to begin their ICT careers, but to creating trusted experts within the industry in order to bolster and evolve Manitoba’s technology sector, province-wide. Our instructors have real industry experience that they’re able to pass on to our students, preparing them with real-world skills and training.
Our Team
Grace Mbawala, MBA, B.A (Hons), CFOT
Training Coordinator
Grace has more than 7 years of experience in training and development and possesses exceptional facilitation, curriculum development, course design and development skills. In her professional training career, she has been successful in applying blended instructional design techniques and methodologies using multiple virtual and face-to-face delivery methods, including e-learning, classroom-based training, and simulations.
Grace holds an MBA from the National University of Malaysia. She earned a B.A. (Hons) in International Business Management from Staffordshire University, Malaysia.
Olaide Aladatan, P.Eng, CCNA, CFOS/I
Trainer
Olaide has more than 10 years of experience in design and deployment of telecommunications networks, including IP-based terrestrial wireless, satellite, and fiber optics. Having worked in operations and maintenance for multinational telecommunications vendor and operator companies, Olaide brings a wealth of theoretical and field experience to the classroom. He possesses B.Sc (Hons) in electronic and electrical engineering from OAU, Ile-Ife, Nigeria and a Post-Baccalaureate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Manitoba. He is a registered professional engineer with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.
Jena Banville
Training Coordinator
With over 12 years of experience with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, Jena comes to Binesi Training Centre with vast experience as a Training and Program Coordinator, working on multiple learning platforms. With Jena’s years of experience training adults, her Occupational Health and Safety education, and her ability to lead challenging situations within a team, she is a great asset to the Binesi team.
